JAC Statement on Susan Collins' Announcement on Kavanaugh
Submitted by holliswein on Fri, 10/05/2018 - 4:41pmSenator Susan Collins (R-ME) betrayed women across the country today. We counted on her to be a voice of reason within her party. Her failure to do so will have a long-lasting impact on women's healthcare for generations to come. JAC will continue its mission to elect candidates that share our values for reproductive freedom. Today shows why voting in November is so critical. Elections have consequences.
JAC Statement on the Violence in Charlottesville - We Will Not Be Silent
"We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."
-- Elie Wiesel
The horrific events in Charlottesville this past weekend remind us again of the devastating consequences of hatred. Such actions threaten all of us. For the last 30 years, JAC has been monitoring, raising awareness of, and fighting discrimination and hate groups. We have watched their resurgence and have continually spoken out against them.
