OUR TEAM

Meet the women who work behind the scenes to make JAC an influential, formidable force in our country and beyond.

Hollis Wein, Executive Director, JAC

HOLLIS WEIN

Executive Director

Since 2013, Hollis has served in numerous capacities at JAC, from Communications Director to Research Director, culminating in her role as Executive Director in 2023.

After graduating from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Journalism, Hollis took a temporary job on a senate campaign that sparked a permanent passion for politics. Since then, Hollis has worked in politics her entire professional career, including positions at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) in Washington, DC and numerous state and national campaigns. She also worked on Capitol Hill.

Hollis lives in Deerfield, IL, where she is the proud mother of four Democratic-voting children. She is a Peloton fanatic and avid traveler; of all the countries she has been fortunate to visit, Israel remains her favorite.

ALLISON SHAEWITZ

Outreach & Special Events Director

As JAC’s Director of Outreach and Events, Allison has spearheaded some of the organization’s most memorable experiences, pouring passion and energy into every plan. She’s always searching for new JAC members, tapping into her vast network of contacts that stretches from Chicago to California, where she lived for several years.

Allison discovered her love for politics when she worked on a congressional campaign for a California candidate committed to gun violence prevention – a cause for which she’s long been advocating. Allison’s self-proclaimed title of “JAC resident music expert” reflects her additional love for music and bands, which has taken her to venues across the country. She is a graduate of University of Illinois, and the proud mother of two boys and two dogs.

DANIELLE SCHOENBERG, Operations & Membership Manager, JAC

DANIELLE SCHOENBERG,

Director of Operations

Danielle’s career at JAC began as an active volunteer, and has evolved into being a vital part of the office, managing the membership program, assisting in event planning and execution, and overseeing all administrative tasks.

A graduate from American University with a degree in education, Danielle worked as both a kindergarten and second grade teacher before turning to politics. She is a walking encyclopedia of pop culture and the owner of JAC’s adopted mascot, Daisy the Dog.

Being a proud American, she hopes to visit all 50 states by the time she is 50. She is halfway there.

Fight for the things that you care about,

but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.

-Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Supreme Court Justice
