Rep. Madeleine Dean is a Democratic politician, attorney, educator, and advocate serving as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 4th Congressional District. Born and raised in Glenside, Pennsylvania, she practiced law before teaching writing and ethics at La Salle University for a decade. After serving as an Abington Township commissioner and a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, she was elected to Congress in 2018. In Congress, she has focused on gun violence prevention, healthcare access, environmental protection, voting rights, addiction recovery, and government accountability.
