Rep. Lucy McBath is a Democratic politician, author, advocate, and former flight attendant serving in the U.S. House of Representatives. After the 2012 shooting death of her son Jordan Davis, she became a prominent national advocate for gun violence prevention through organizations such as Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety. Following years of advocacy, she was elected to Congress in 2018, defeating incumbent Karen Handel. Since taking office, McBath has focused on gun safety, healthcare affordability, veterans' issues, education, civil rights, and bipartisan legislative solutions.
