Rep. Lizzie Fletcher is a Democratic politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 7th Congressional District. A lifelong Houston-area resident, she built a successful legal career representing clients in complex business and civil litigation before entering politics. Fletcher was elected to Congress in 2018, flipping a longtime Republican-held district and becoming both the first Democrat in decades and the first woman to represent the district. In Congress, she has focused on healthcare, energy, infrastructure, flood mitigation, economic development, and protecting reproductive freedom.
