With initial plans to become a teacher, Rep. Golden changed his course after the events of 9/11, enlisting in the Marines and serving combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Upon returning home, he finished his college degree and decided to pursue a career in politics. Golden is committed to expanding healthcare coverage, reforming campaign finance, and protecting our environment.
