Maura Sullivan is a Democratic politician and U.S. Marine Corps veteran running for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. She served as a logistics officer in the Marine Corps, including deployments related to the Iraq War, and later transitioned into federal government service. After her military career, she held senior communications and public affairs roles in the Obama administration at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. She has also worked on veterans’ policy and national service initiatives. She previously ran for Congress in New Hampshire and returned to run again in the 2026 cycle, positioning herself as a national security-focused Democrat with a background in military service and federal leadership.
