The son of Vietnamese refugees, Derek Tran, enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for eight years as a way to give back to the country that gave his family a new beginning. After his military service, Tran became an attorney, fighting for consumers and workers. Tran is a strong advocate for reproductive choice, affordable healthcare, and public safety.
