Rep. Angie Craig is an American politician and former business executive who has represented Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District since 2019. She grew up in modest circumstances, raised by a single mother, and worked multiple jobs while putting herself through college. Before entering politics, she worked as a journalist and later spent more than 20 years in the medical device industry. In Congress, Craig has positioned herself as a pragmatic Democrat focused on lowering healthcare costs, expanding access to rural healthcare and mental health services, supporting farmers, and increasing workforce training and apprenticeship programs. She has also worked on bipartisan legislation related to prescription drug pricing and insurance affordability. She announced in 2025 that she would run for the open U.S. Senate seat in Minnesota in 2026, entering a competitive DFL primary.
