Rep. Sykes was first elected in 2022 to Congress. Prior to serving the OH-13th district, she served eight years in the Ohio House of Representatives, with 3 years as the Minority Leader. Before serving in elected office, she served as the Administrative Staff Advisor at the Summit County Fiscal Office and as a Law Clerk to the Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Georgia.
