A Vitriolic Response to Standing Up for Being Jewish on Campus

By JAC Senior Intern Lily Cohen

These are frightening times to be Jewish in America, and even more so to be a student on a college campus. College should be a safe place for productive conversations about differing opinions. However, as antisemitism has invaded colleges across the country and my personal space, my campus has not been that place.

As a Junior at Northwestern University in Evanston, just 30 minutes outside of Chicago, I have seen antisemitic incidents on campus over the past three years.

A first-generation American, Dr. Yadira Caraveo is running for the newly drawn CO-8 district. This race gives Democrats an excellent chance to pick up a much-needed House seat to protect our narrow majority.

Yadira is no stranger to hard work and challenges. She grew up in Colorado after her parents left Mexico in search of a better life for their family. She learned from her family about hard work and sacrifice. Yadira will bring that strong work ethic to Congress.

An army veteran raised by a single mother, Sharice Davids’s life has been shaped by hard work. After working her way through college and law school as a first-generation college student, she went on to serve as a Fellow in President Obama’s White House. In 2019, she was elected to the House of Representatives to represent the third district of Kansas.

Since 2003, Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) has been a champion for JAC’s issues in the United States House of Representatives, both in Ohio’s 13th district and then 17th after the 2010 redistricting process. Now, he’s eyeing a seat in the Senate to represent all of Ohio. Running against him is a conservative commentator and author trying to turn politician. We need to help Rep. Tim Ryan beat MAGA-backed J.D. Vance for Ohio’s Senate seat. Pitch in here

When Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL) was elected to Congress in 2018, she became the youngest black woman to serve in either chamber. She has worked hard for our country since day one and we need to keep her in Congress.

Donate here to reelect Rep. Underwood. We need to raise $20,000 to help her fend of extreme attacks from the GOP who want her pro-choice seat.
